There's a light dimly glowing.
Bring me back to a place of knowing
what you thought the last time that we met.
There's a thought reeling me in.
A piece of me keeping me from breathing.
Just how much longer will this last?
But I just don't know what I can't let go.
It's hard to understand, my dear, when your heart's set back a couple years.
There's a wave loudly crashing.
Keeping us from thoughts of napping.
As we lie in emotion on the bed.
There's a storm, storm a-brewing.
Hold on tight, I'm pulling you in.
Goddamn if I let this go to waste.
And I just don't know what I can't let go.
It's hard to understand, my dear, when you're heart's set back a couple years.
But I just don't know what I can't let go.
You're standing right in front of me, but your shadow's all that's left to see.
There's a time I go back to.
Looking in, you're seeing right through
into my heart and in my soul.
There's a light pouring in now.
In my eyes, it's showing me how.
Just how much longer will this last?
And I just don't know what I can't let go.
It's hard to understand, my dear, when you're heart's set back a couple years.
But I just don't know what I can't let go.
You're standing right in front of me, but your shadow's all that's left to see.
I'm thinking I should look at what I've found
and catch it before it hits the ground.

I know... late to the party.... but I read somewhere that this is a mixture of replacements and early GGD and thought I'd check it out.... really like it. Mully
